Summer, summer, summer time! Anyone else doing a dance of joy? Whether you are celebrating the weather, a major milestone in your life or looking for a place to enjoy the warm summer air with friends and family, here are a few of my recommendations for the summer months:
111 W. John St. #136A
Seattle, WA 98119
Curious about champagne? Looking to learn a little more about the Champagne region? Fat Cork will teach you everything you want to know about the delightfully bubbly drink. Enjoy 2-3 delicious tastings. If you love champagne, join their club and leave with your arms full of swag. Fat Cork is an absolute treat and a place you don’t want to miss!
Alexandria Nicole Cellars
14810 Northeast 145th Street
Woodinville, WA 98072
Looking for a family friendly winery with great outdoor seating and delicious wines? Then pack up the car and head to Woodinville for bold tastes of just some of Alexandria Nicole Cellars wines. Be sure to try the Mr. Big Petite Sirah!
Fremont Brewing Company
3409 Woodland Park Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98103
Grab your whole family (kids and furry members too) and hightail it to Fremont for some ice cold brews. Their Urban Beer Garden is a great place to gather with friends while letting the kiddos play (under close supervision). They do not serve food but do provide a big stack of deliver menus from local restaurants so you can eat in. Be sure to try their 77 Fremont Select and Wandering Wheat.
Big Al’s Brewing
9832 14th Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98106
Big Al Brewing. Need I say more? Located in White Center, this laid back and roomy brewery is the perfect place to hang out with friends and family. Bring you favorite local takeout and grab a brew. They provide sidewalk chalk, twinkle lights and bubbles for the little ones.
Two Beers Brewing
4700 Ohio Ave. S.
Seattle, WA 98134
The Woods (as they call their tasting room) is located in SoDo with a great western facing patio. If it is a warm day and you are soaking up the sun, try the Shandy (lemonade + beer). Brewery dog, Willis, is quite the kid attraction. They do not have a full kitchen but do offer pretzels and pizza or come on Friday and enjoy a local Food Truck. If you really love their brews, don’t forget to join the mug club!
Take good care and be well mamas!
