Sparkling Water and Playground Fun at Juanita Beach Park

Though Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland has been around for nearly one hundred years, a 2011 remodel has made this popular park seem brand new. It’s a great spot because there’s so much to do, from walking and wading to having a ball on the fantastic new play equipment.

One of the most interesting features of the park is a semi-circle dock/walkway that surrounds the swimming area. It extends far enough out into the water for a decent stroll, and the view is gorgeous. Since it can be easy to slip through the railings, you may want to keep your little ones safe in a stroller or carrier. The walkway surrounds a mostly shallow swim area, perfect for kids.

There’s huge playground with lots of different slides and swings, plenty of lawn space, picnic tables and easy-access bathrooms.

Finding a spot in the parking lot can be a challenge on sunny weekends, but the laid-back pace during the park’s slower hours is so nice that it’s worth it show up early and beat the crowds.
