Fall has arrived and when I think of autumn, I think of pumpkins. In the Pacific Northwest, we are lucky to have so many great ways to celebrate the season. One of those ways is to revel in the pumpkin. No matter where you live, you are bound to find a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, or a place to pick apples.
There is no better place to find your pumpkins than the Snohomish Festival of Pumpkins. With six pumpkin patches, there is so much to explore. We started going to Craven Farm several years ago and it has become our annual tradition every October. Bring your wagon and take your little ones on the search for the best pumpkin ever.
The farms in Snohomish are much more than pumpkins, however. There are hayrides, corn mazes, face painting, pumpkin slingers, and fresh farm food. You can’t beat that fresh fall air and the crunch of the leaves under your feet.
Don’t let the month of October go by without visiting a patch. The hunt is really the best part, right? So much better than grabbing one at the grocery store with your gallon of milk.
For the big kids (and kids at heart), many of the patches have corn mazes that turn scary and haunted at nighttime. BOO!
