We have lived in the Seattle area for almost eight years, and I’m embarrassed to say it’s only been about a year since I’ve gone to the Space Needle. I know, I know. It’s one of those things that you say to yourself “Eh, it’s always there, I’ll get to it”, and you don’t.
Last year for Spring Break, I decided that I would make it a stay-cation for my 7 and 10 year old boys and explore all the must-see attractions of our city. Sure, we’ve been to the Woodland Park Zoo, the Aquarium and Pacific Science Center, but without memberships, it becomes a once or twice a year trip, i.e. when visitors come to town. With the Seattle CityPASS, you can stop procrastinating and check out all those places you kept saying “Eh, it’s always there, I’ll get to it”.
With CityPASS you save 45% on admission prices. CityPASS gives you admission to 6 Seattle attractions: the Space Needle, Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises Seattle Harbor Tour, Pacific Science Center, EMP Museum, and your choice of Woodland Park Zoo OR The Museum of Flight. So you are paying $69 for an adult ticket and $44 for a child’s ticket instead of the combined attraction price of $126. Have you done a vacay cheaper than that?
You have 9 days from the first day you attend your first attraction, so you have plenty of time to visit everywhere. We had less than a week over our break so we did a bit of doubling up…thankfully with a little planning, with several attractions in proximity it can be done. For example, the cruise dock is right down from the aquarium.
We had never been to the EMP or done the Argosy Cruise Harbor, a narrated cruise around Elliot Bay. Plus, the PSC visit includes a 2D or 3D movie of your choice, and since we’ve never seen a movie there either, double score! If you are looking for a great way to spend your Spring Break or a nice summer mini-vacation revisiting old spots or meeting new ones, I would totally recommend purchasing a CityPASS.
Oh, FYI, it may sound like one, but this is totally NOT a sponsored post…although CityPASS people, if you are listening, I can become your spokeswoman if you hook me up with a few for my guests…I’m kidding…no, I’m not.
