Seattle Valentines Day Activities

I love living in Seattle. There is always something exciting to do, especially around the holidays!  It’s not just about candlelight and chocolate…there are some great Seattle Valentines Day activities.

For everyone….

Valentine's Day at Cupcake RoyaleStop by the various Cupcake Royales from February 7 – 9 for their annual Sprinkle Party where you can frost and decorate your own cupcakes and enjoy ProBooth Photobooths from 3-5pm. Visit their website for the full schedule and details.

At the Seattle Children’s Museum, February is Heart Hullabaloo, it’s all about hearts from the human heart to humanitarians.  They have all kinds of heart-related crafts and activities happening.  For example, on Saturday, February 11, you can make cinnamon and apple play dough into the shape of hearts and on Sunday, it’s a a scavenger hunt filled with hearts and riddles!

Valentine's Day at Point Defiance ZooOn Saturday, February 11, celebrate with the animals at Point Defiance Zoo where they will get special treats and enrichments! They have a schedule of events from walruses getting their teeth brushed to tigers enjoying whipping-cream hearts.

Valentine's Day at Seattle Bug SafariHave you heard of the Seattle Bug Safari? I haven’t, but it is on my to-do list and this weekend is the perfect time to check it out. They have a special Valentine’s Day weekend deal, starting on Friday through Tuesday (they are closed on Monday) kids 4-12 years old get free admission when they bring their special valentine. That means you mom and dad.

Just for the adults…

Underworld Valentine's Day Tour

Who needs an overpriced roses and dinner when you can spend Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart on a special Underworld Tour. Travel through Seattle’s old Red Light District on a guided 60-minute walking tour where you’ll hear tales of opium dens, corruption, and good time gals selling love. After the tour, enjoy a champagne toast.

Cupid's Undie Run Seattle Valentine's DayBy far the most interesting event this holiday; a fundraiser for The Children’s Tumor Foundation, Cupid’s Undie Run this Saturday, February 11  is a 1.5 mile run in your bedroom-best. Check out runners stripped down to their skivvies run around Fremont for a great cause. This is a national, 6 city event and all proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Enjoy Ballroom’s happy hour food and drink specials all day and post-race festivities and awards.
