When you have little ones, New Year’s Eve isn’t so much about dressing up and going out on the town. Unless you are ditching the kids, families often times need to think of ways to celebrate in a kid friendly way. If you aren’t attending a party or hosting one of your own, here are some ideas:
- Seattle Children’s Museum celebrates all day (10am – 6pm) with hourly toasts of fruit punch. Learn about different parts of the world as the clock strikes midnight throughout the globe. A great way for kids to celebrate, but still be in bed at a reasonable hour! Learn more here.
Where: 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, 206-441-1768
- KidsQuest Children’s Museum parties it up with a bubble wrap stomp at noon. What could be more fun for toddlers and preschoolers, right? Free with membership or paid admission.

- Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett has it’s own Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party during the day. From 12 to 4pm, kids can enjoy music, dancing, and lots of crafty activities. Children can make their own 2012 glasses, party poppers, and crazy hats.
