Need something fun to do this weekend? Look no further than the annual Taste of Edmonds. This food extravaganza is a family fun event with live music, fun activities for the kids, and lots to keep your taste buds busy. In its 29th year, this festival is a feast for all of your senses. The festival is hopping Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13 from 11am – 10pm, and Sunday, August 14 from 11am – 7pm. Admission is only $3 for teens and adults, with all children under 12 being FREE.
The most obvious draw to the Taste of Edmonds is the FOOD. Come hungry, people. With over 35 different booths, there really is something for everyone, whether you are craving sweet, savory, or a little bit of both. As for beverages, there are limitless options for young and old, including beer and wine gardens for those over 21.
To entertain you while you nibble, the main stage will be graced with all sorts of bands playing original tunes as well as favorites we all know and love. There is also a separate stage for the young ones, featuring everything from music, jugglers, clowns, Reptile Man, and much more. Your kids will also love free face painting, clowns making animal balloon shapes, and the Woodland Park Zoo dinosaur exhibit. I also hear that there will be an enormous rock wall, huge bouncy inflatables, and pony rides.
As if that wasn’t enough, there will also be many arts and crafts vendors showcasing their work. You can peruse all kinds of jewelry, pottery, glass, and art while you snack on one of the delicious treats at the festival.
If you have never been to the Taste of Edmonds, it really is a fun family event. Let’s all cross our fingers and toes for great weather!
