I’m always getting emails about the places I go to feed my party crazy, and are bummed when they find out most are local spots. Luckily for you, dear readers, they are within your reach!
My go-to candy mold/cupcake decorating spot is Home Cake Decorating Supply Company in the Northgate area. If you are a serious baker, her cake pan selection has no rival! She has everything from books to boxes to flavorings, to…well everything! As you can see, she is literally packed to the rafters!
9514 Roosevelt Way Ne, Seattle, WA; 206-316-9758
For fabulous paper crafting and serious inspiration, you can’t beat Paper Source. They are the only ones on this list from their kits (I just purchased this lotus flower kit), to a staggering amount of stamps, gorgeous paper and fun classes, you will not be disappointed. Plus, the blog is chockful of real world projects that you can easily create yourself. It’s no fun to see a cool project that is so convoluted, you lose interest!
700 Bellevue Way NE, Ste 105 Bellevue, WA; 425-646-0100
Another great spot I love to wander is Packaging Specialties; they are where I can find tissue paper in every shade, fun packaging like acrylic boxes and unique ribbon. It was there I found cotton curl for my fun Christmas ornament swap last year. I’m currently addicted to it now. They are geniuses at creative packaging and have inspiring classes for every level of crafter.

OK, one more paper store! They all have a different flavor, at least that is how I justify spending money in all of them. What I love about Paper Zone is they carry Meri Meri party products and they always have the latest product in the crafting and scrapbooking world. It was there I discover Glübers…oh yes, pure genius!
Various locations…psst…the Bellevue store is close to the Bellevue Packaging Specialties store, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
I know, not everyone has the time to make their party fare. That’s OK because Display & Costume have EVERYTHING you need for a kickin’ party! They have every kind of party theme from general to licensed characters and everything in between. If you have an adult party to get to, their costume section can’t be beat. The Seattle store is 2 minutes down Roosevelt to Home Cake Decorating Supply Co. so you can kill another two party birds with one stone!

I’m a serious stamp junkie; I use them to dress up everything from napkins to paper table runners. My favorite spot to score on unique ones (that I can’t find at Michael’s or JoAnn’s) is Impress Rubber Stamps. I was just at the University store on Saturday, convinced they would have a ‘thanks a bunch’ stamp I needed for the favors I’m making for a jungle themed baby shower. They didn’t, but the lovely clerk called the Tukwila store and will be sending it over. Score!

There are so many amazing places to see and check out, and I’m always looking for a new place to visit. Do you have a local favorite?
